WHAT IS PAR STOCK? IMPORTANCE OF PAR STOCK |

Today we will have learning about PAR STOCK & What is the Importance of PAR Stock & How to calculate PAR Stock.......

PAR STOCK:- 

Minimum level of supplies, Linen 7 Uniform required to meet daily demands to ensure smooth operations. It is the standard quantity of each inventoried items that must be hand to support daily, routine housekeeping operation.

IMPORTANCE OF PAR STOCK:-

1) To Make correct and efficient of capital,

2) To prevent overstocking and their by avoid chances of spoilage or damage,

3) To ensure proper supply at all time,

4) To help in effective budget,

5) To simplify inventory taking,

6) To bring about manageable control.

HOW TO ESTABLISH PAR STOCK:-

A) LINEN:- Determine the requirement of each guest room, restaurant, banquet, BAR and other outlet per shift.Then multiply it 4 times as per cycle mentioned below. You may also multiplies it by 3 times as per your requirements.

a) One change in Circulation,

b) One change in housekeeping store,

c) One change in laundry,

d) One change in Linen room.

B) UNIFORM:- The PAR Stock of uniform will be decided on the basis of:------

• Cloth material,
• Job Position and nature of Job.

   Then multiply it 4 times as per cycle mentioned below. You may also multiplies it by 3 times as per your requirements.

a) One change in Circulation,

b) One change in housekeeping store,

c) One change in laundry,

d) One change in uniform room.

Let us taken an example for an property of 50 Rooms and we are placing 2 bath towel, 2 hand towel in each room and we do have In House Laundry and we are maintaining 3 PAR Stock level..............
